100% uptime Necro units starting at minute 10 is very oppressive in terms of lane pressure and map control, which translates to a lot of extra space for your more important cores. Then you can impact the map without relying on an advantageous fight happening. If you're going to play like that, it's better to just rush Necrobook, honestly. In the 6k bracket, you can pretty reliably count on your team executing this gameplan. Pretty easy to do when the enemy Pos 3 has no movement skills, can't initiate, and can't cancel TPs. In this scenario, I would 100% just tell my pos 1 to pick any late-scaling carry like TB and just tell my team to avoid 100% of all fights against the Dazzle pos 3 team until he's ready to just 1v5. You coming second into a fight with just Witch Shard and Treads is not going to have the same impact as those other Pos 3s, which is why you need more items to match them.Įnemy carry gets to counter pick you. LC and Axe have the advantage of picking their fights, so they need fewer items to pick good fights and make an impact. items for a non-initiating pos 3 like Dazzle. You can't compare items needed for an initiator, like LC and Axe, to fight vs. It's because that's not an apples to apples comparison. I'll tell you why people are downvoting you. Then get like a BKB or Hex THEN get Arcane Blink. I have to think something like Greaves + Gleipnir + Shard is a better mix to play to his strengths. Something you could build towards later sure, but play him as the push machine hero first. Turning him into this later game Tinker LITE AOE machine doesn't really fit with this idea. He's a death ball and push hero when you play him as a core. There is something to this concept here, but I feel like you need to figure out the value of picking core Dazzle in the first place. Seems like you really need like a Hex or Shiva to really push this idea, which is starting to get really expensive. All this to get 3+ OK auto attacks, with little value from your spells, and spending 8k gold on just Shard and Arcane Blink. You Blink and spam everything, but you probably don't have great Shadow Wave targets, probably don't need to Grave yet, and Poison Touch stacking is nice, but also just dispellable. I like the idea of Arcane Blink, but I feel like it's kind of wasted in some areas. If the whole premise is attacking off spells the attack speed doesn't do much, and the proc doesn't effect everyone, it doesn't seem that synergistic. People like Puck, QoP, or Void Spirit like it because they are already able to get to people. You already kill people if you can keep hitting them with Poison Touch. Hell, you can absolutely justify an Aghs in some situations since, even though you're not a support, an AOE dispel every three seconds is insane.Ĭore Dazzle is good, but he falls off hard, and a limp AOE auto attack doesn't completely fix that. You can use BKB twice in a single teamfight. You can keep somebody Hexed for 3.5 out of every 5 seconds. With Bloodthorn, you can keep a guy silenced forever if they don't have a dispel. On the subject of active items, a late game Dazzle kinda turns into a version of Tinker with less mana constraints. With maxed Juju and Spell Prism, you can jump around every 6 seconds, meaning you can be wherever you need to be at the drop of a hat.Ī typical build might be Witch Blade > Shard > BKB > Arcane Blink, though there are absolutely other ways you can go (Midas, Gleipnir, and Orchid are valid options as well). Reason 4: Arcane Blink & Other Active ItemsĪrcane Blink is genuinely crazy good on Dazzle. Poison Touch and Witch Blade on the same guy and they just start melting.įor how it stacks up against the old scepter.Įven with just your level 10 talent and one big damage item, you become this massive damage threat that bursts everything in your vicinity. The only thing he doesn't have is high AGI, but since carry Dazzle mostly attacks through his Shard in teamfights, you kinda don't need it.Īn item made for ranged int carries that also slows, works off of a cooldown, gives a lot of attack speed, and gives armor.Įvery part of that works well for Dazzle. An ultimate that, after one round of spell casts, effectively gives him a desolator worth of armor reduction.Seriously, Dazzle has a lot of things going for him as a right clicker. Reason 1: Icefrog has been pushing this for a while, now I've been playing it as a 3 lately, and aside from how people tend to instantly give up when they see a core Dazzle on their team, it has been surprisingly good.
